BC Ferries, the location of the asbestos (typically the older vessels) are well marked. Today's travelers need not fear being exposed, because the BC Ferries Union has taken care to protect everyone.
PS
Some of the gas masks from WWW I contained chrysotile or crocidolite asbestos in their filters.
...... saved lives but were exposed to asbestos
So too ....,
for the wives back home who made the masks, and passed it (?) onto their children ...
