Lots of people lost a lot...I remember BRIC shares. Lots of people lost a lot of money. One man I remember lost $30K. (back in the 70s that was real money) that was one bad gamble and he knew gambling. Made his living playing the horses at Hastings Park. bought it on his bank manager's advise who purchased a similar amount of shares. Me, never trusted those Bennett boys. they ran with a bunch named Galardi. Didn't trust them much either.

Not much changes in this province, just the names and the amounts of money.e.a.f.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5251250297030815041.post-85019901757877429422015-12-08T08:45:32.939-08:002015-12-08T08:45:32.939-08:00http://www.owen-media.com/directoryofdirectors/exe...http://www.owen-media.com/directoryofdirectors/execdetail.cfm?group=17&page=6&person=7115

The fallout from Bennett's 'prosperity fund' didn't land to far from the tree:
Jim Pattison owns Westar Group Ltd.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5251250297030815041.post-39025514568907885402013-05-19T13:45:41.688-07:002013-05-19T13:45:41.688-07:00I came across my BRIC shares today while down sizi...I came across my BRIC shares today while down sizing my possessions. I had come across this blog when I Googled BRIC. I guess I'll toss them in the recycle bin. I encounter mine from time to time in one of my dictionaries (don't bother to remember which one); whenever I come across it I have a good chuckle, admire it's quality paper, the idealized family depicted and the perfidy of the skid row restauranteur who purchased hundreds of $6 certificates from down-and-outers for a dollar apiece only to use them as wallpaper when the stock subsequently tanked.

Then I carefully put it away again for next time. I would never use it to line a birdcage, but I get your point.Scotty on Denmannoreply@blogger.com
